  1. We will maintain state-of-the-art technology.
    Our staff is continuously attending seminars and conferences to evaluate and learn new techniques and devices. We will study extensively, review demonstrations and evaluate all of the competitive products before incorporating new technology into our practice. We were one of the first eight practices in the entire eastern US to acquire the hair removal laser. We were the first practice east of the Mississippi to incorporate Dr. Obagi's Blue Peel into our practice, and we were using Botox for frown lines 3 years before the media discovered this amazing drug. In contrast, we have refused to subject our patients to some of the fads in plastic surgery, such as shaped breast implants, vibrating liposuction, and erbium lasers because we felt that the risks were too high for the benefits, or the cost too prohibitive when a less expensive method would accomplish the same result.

    At PS1 we can also give nutritional, alternative medicine, anti-aging and herbal advice since many of our educational programs are devoted to incorporating the finest of these emerging fields into the plastic surgery milieu.
     
  2. We strive always for honesty and integrity in all dealings.
    From the comprehensive surgical fees (no surprises) to the procedures themselves, all of the PS1 staff participate in our principle of honesty. We will never recommend any procedure more expensive or complex than necessary to accomplish your goals, and we will always make certain you have the benefit of knowing all the procedures which are available for your particular concern. Many of our patients are dumbfounded when they discover that we either refuse to do a procedure or recommend a much less expensive and simpler procedure than they expected.
     
  3. We pride ourselves on education.
    The best consumer of plastic surgery is the informed patient. We are constantly writing and rewriting our educational materials, and we frequently hear how much more people learn from our organization than from all their previous consultations. From our pre-visit mailings, seminars, and website (www.plasticsurgeryone.com) to our audiotapes and our post-operative instructions, we are continuously exploring ways to provide the most accurate and understandable information possible.
     
  4. Friendly, courteous service is essential for our continued success.
    My staff has been chosen because of their skills and because of their friendly, caring attitude. We all enjoy our work and feel like we are providing something very special. Our clients also recognize this and many become a part of our "family." Accessibility to staff and to myself at all phases of the process is excellent, and we have extra staff to assist our patients where most practices cannot. Our esthetician is happy to lend a hand with cover makeup for emergencies, vacation skin care planning, or just helping you look your best for special events.

    We have assisted with international transportation for our foreign clients, arranged hotels, private nursing, special transportation as well as a few surprises along the way.
